Shaded park with typical Cévennes stone walls and chestnut trees, fenced over about 6,500 m². The hamlet of Chabannes is part of Malbosc, at 525 m altitude, in the Ardèche Cévennes, at the heart of the Monts d'Ardèche Regional Natural Park. This preserved area offers peace, fresh air, and tranquility. Located 2 km from Malbosc for small shops and restaurants, 13 km (about 20 minutes) from Bessèges for larger shopping, and 25 km from Les Vans, a tourist town known for its crafts and typical markets on Saturday mornings and Tuesday evenings (from July). 40 km (about 60 minutes) away are the Ardèche gorges with the famous Pont d’Arc and Chauvet Cave. A bit further: Alès, Uzès duchy, the Prafrance bamboo garden in Anduze with its steam train, and the Mediterranean Sea about 90 km away. Hiking and mountain biking enthusiasts will enjoy many trails. The house is a former farmhouse, the highest in the hamlet, which has about ten Cévennes houses. The landscape is reminiscent of Corsica with its winding roads. Bed linen and towels are not provided but can be rented on request for an extra fee. Dish towels are provided free of charge.
